Research

The BGS Foundation will dedicate resources to supporting and conducting research on cognitive and neurodiversity. This research will be led by experts in educational psychology and neurodiverse sciences. The goal is to deepen the scientific understanding of the unique strengths, challenges, and needs of cognitively and neurodiverse individuals. Planned research activities include:

  • Funded Studies: The initiative will provide grants to researchers at colleges and universities and research institutions to conduct studies on topics such as:

    • The neurobiological basis of different cognitive and neurodiverse conditions.

    • Effective educational and interventions.

    • The long-term social and professional outcomes of neurodiverse individuals.

    • The impact of different educational settings and teaching methodologies.

  • Original Research: The Foundation will also conduct its own in-house research projects, collaborating with academic partners. This may include longitudinal studies, survey-based research, and the development of new assessment tools.

  • Publication and Dissemination: Research findings will be published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and shared through conferences, white papers, and public-facing reports to ensure the knowledge is accessible to educators, policymakers, and the general public.
